Alida began studying aerial silks at age 40 in Asheville, North Carolina under the tutelage of Andew Hartnagel and Naomi Ullian, both of whom studied at NECCA. Although athletic before coming to silks, she did not have a dance or any other movement background. Instead, it was on a whim from a groupon. She was looking for a way to still get a full-body workout that would not stress the knees. From the very first class, she was hooked. Silks has helped her foster more mind-body awareness, as well as self-confidence and strength. Being on the silks requires focus and stamina--something that will be developed in class. She loves teaching beginners and will prove that you can learn to perform on silks no matter what your background. Just come with an open mind and a willingness to have fun!

SuChen Gee, the owner of Ophidia Studio, embodies the power and potential of pole dancing and aerial arts. While she had been active her entire life, a devastating accident left her with serious back and neck injuries, which resulted in chronic pain. She tried to regain her strength through her old fitness routines – swimming, walking and cycling – but the pain proved too much. She even found a senior water aerobics class too difficult – and wondered if she could even live without pain again.

Aidan has been driven to dance and express herself through dance her entire life. Her passion is choreography and performance.
Jody's childhood dream was to be a monkey, or learn to fly. These desires seemed little connected to the sporadic tap, ballet and jazz classes she took here and there, when climbing and jumping out of windows could be postponed. It was not until her late thirties that she discovered pole dancing where she could finally become a flying monkey and actualize those dreams. Her passion is to impart the life changing freedom of self expression and body love to beginning students along with the magic of pure fun that pole has brought to her life.
Alexandra loves the sensuality and strength of pole, and seeing the voice of each student come alive.
